A latest study on cervical cancer showed that India has recorded the highest number of cervical cases in Asia, the findings of the research also revealed that out of the 40% of the total deaths from cervical cancer, 23% occurred in our country. It is very concerning, TBH.

According to the findings of the latest Lancet study, India accounts for the highest number of cervical cancer cases in Asia, followed by its neighbouring country China. It showed that 23% out of 40% of deaths from cervical cancer occurred in the country. As per the data, they were around 6,04,127 new cervical cancer cases and 3,41,831 deaths occurred in the year 2020 globally. The study noted that over 58% of cervical cancer cases globally were estimated in Asia.
