Mahua Moitra Starts A ‘Twitter Series’ As A Jibe At The Unparliamentary Words List Debate
Mahua Moitra is a Lok Sabha member from West Bengal. She is a well-known Indian politician who boldly criticises the Government. Many of her speeches from the house have gone viral on social media. The politician puts forth her opinions in a straightforward manner and is known for her sarcastic remarks as well. She is yet again making headlines with her recent Twitter series, in which she has bashed the new list of unparliamentary words released by the government.
A list of approximately 40 words has been released to be banned from being used in the parliament. The list also included the word “Sexual Harassment”. Putting forth her thoughts, on July 14, Thursday, Mahua Moitra took to her Twitter handle to post a series of tweets in this regard. Giving it a sarcastic tone yet again, the politician, wrote “Baith jaye, baith jaye, prem se bolein”. This was in reference to one of the Lok Sabha speakers, Meira Kumar when she tried to control a chaotic situation in the parliamentary house in the year 2013. Mahua Moitra further wrote that the current government has banned all the words that were being used to criticise them.
Baith jaiye. Baith Jaiye. Prem se boliye.
