Adding To Its Ridiculous Rule Book For Women, Taliban Bans Contraception, Abortion Pills

They need to educate themselves now!

Talk about ridiculous measures taken by a country’s government, Taliban is the first on this list. The Taliban rulers have made every possible attempt to curb any kind of freedom for Afghanistan women and girls. And they are still not stopping, as they now put a ban on contraceptives for women. The reason for this new questionable is even more intriguing. 

On February 17, Friday, there were news reports on the Taliban government’s ban on the usage of contraceptives for women. The rulers have called it a “Western concept” and also came up with some weird reasons for that. Women in Afghanistan have been prohibited from using contraceptives because Taliban rulers think that it’s a conspiracy for the westerners to stop the population of Muslims to grow. 

In fact, some armed men have been going around the Afghan cities to check all the pharmacies and warn them from keeping any kind of contraceptives Even the pharmacist of the country have talked about this new rule and how the Taliban rulers are clearing the contraceptive counters in their pharmacies. As per the news, the rulers are also using gun points to threaten women into not using any kind of abortion pills or injections.

This rule is a clear indication that the Taliban rulers have no interest in thinking about the well-being of Afghan women. The many harmful effects of banning contraceptives were not paid any heed as they and the kind of suffering it will bring upon the women.  In the past, women have also been banned from going to gyms, recreational parks, and educational institutions. And now the government decided to play with women’s health too. Complicated, unwanted pregnancies which can even have life-threatening consequences on women’s lives are clearly not acknowledged by the Taliban.
