To be very honest, if you ask me it is very important for me to connect with men emotionally to be able to feel safe around them, and not just in romantic relationships, it’s the same for friendships as well. So this is for all the men out there, women on Reddit listed down a few ways you can make women feel safe and comfortable around you!
1. Respect For Boundaries
Women talked a lot about men respecting boundaries in this thread. The importance of respecting boundaries is definitely the base of building any kind of relationship. Be it physical boundaries or emotional boundaries, it starts from there! To be honest, the best thing about my guy friends is the way we have our boundaries set!
2. Respect For Consent
Again this one goes without saying but consent is the most important element to consider. As we already know, consent isn’t just about physical or sexual aspects. Consent starts from smaller things. To make any relationship work well, you shouldn’t have to be pressured to say yes to something you don’t want to.

To be very honest, the whole idea of an angry young man is a little too glorified.
