Woman Stores Junk Food In Drawers For 2 Years And The Results Are Just Shocking

Truth be told, I’m a foodie. My love of food is unparalleled – especially when it comes to junk food. Just watching, listening, or thinking about junk food makes my mouth water. And this is even true for fast foods. I mean who doesn’t like fast foods – the juicy McDonald’s burger, a good ole’ pizza, doughnuts, and whatnot? I am the kind of person that would store away the leftovers for the next day. Whereas my mum believes that storing them makes them go bad and are extremely unhealthy. Thanks to a woman who stored junk food in drawers to prove that they never go off – I now have the perfect experiment to prove mum right.

Recently, a woman from Essex carried out an experiment where she included a bunch of junk food and fast food items to show that these food items never really go off. The video shared by the woman’s daughter gave a glimpse into the food stored by her mother.

The TikTok user @elifgkandemir showed the cupboard that was filled with junk food and fast food items. It included McDonald’s chicken nuggets burgers, chick, chips, sausage rolls, pizzas, and doughnuts. The point of the experiment is to prove that such processed food doesn’t go off like the regular processed food that we consume.

“This is my mum’s food cupboard full of foods that never go off. My mum is a nutritionist helping to tackle obesity,’ says the TikTok user in the clip. These foods shown here are ultra-processed foods that 80% of the UK consume on a regular basis” said the TikTok user while displaying the junk and fast food items in her cupboard.

@elifgkandemir also posted a follow-up video where she shared some more information regarding the junk and fast food items that were stored. Needless to say, the viewers were shocked to see that even after 2 years the food items looked as good as new.

The message that @elifgkandemir and her mother – who is a nutritionist – wanted to share was, “No food is off-limits, my mum is simply trying to encourage people to make better food decisions and live a happier, healthier lifestyle.”

And that’s what is the end goal – to live a healthier life. Even though I am a die-hard fan of junk food and fast food items, I will agree that they are as unhealthy as they are tasty. Indulging in them, once in a while, is okay. But living off of them, not so much. We all, especially the youth, need to make healthier lifestyles and food choices for a better life.
