The Arjuna award-winner knows the struggles women face, and has lent her voice to raising awareness on girl child issues. Mithali has said that, “When you choose a life, which is different from that which is scripted by society, you are bound to face challenges.” She envisions an ideal world for women where there is no gender bias.

SHE’S BEEN TROLLED FOR WEARING UN-SANSKAARI CLOTHES, AND SHE’S NOT SORRY!
The batswoman, who led the Indian Women’s Cricket team to their first World Cup, had uploaded a photo with her pals on Twitter and received a barrage of tweets telling her that she wasn’t dressed appropriately. Some even asked her to take the photo down because she’s the face of the country. She refused to do so, and later, at an event, said, “Women should not be judged for what they wear.” You go, girl!
