As soon as people came across Masaba Gupta’s recent Instagram story, they were truly elated to see her praise Bipasha Basu. For the uninitiated, the latter actor appeared on a magazine cover, after which the designer praised her athletic build. She further added that it was too bad that people didn’t view it as feminine. Many eyebrows were raised as people thought that she subtly shaded Mrunal Thakur over her old remark about Bipasha.
What Did Masaba Gupta Say?
Masaba Gupta took to her Instagram and shared a story that featured Bipasha Basu’s magazine cover. She expressed that she was very happy to see Bipasha on a cover and called her the last of the OGs. The designer added that there will not be another Bipasha because everything else is a “cookie-cutter template today. Boring. Dull. Doesn’t inspire one bit of confidence.” Masaba also stated that she loved her athletic build and muscle, adding that she wanted more, thanks to the standard of fitness Bipasha set. She then added that it was too bad if someone didn’t see it as feminine. It’s worth noting that although Masaba didn’t take Mrunal Thakur’s name, netizens think that she subtly threw shade at her over her past comments about Bipasha’s body.

What Did Mrunal Thakur Say?
Mrunal Thakur’s previous interview started going viral last year, where she reportedly called Bipasha Basu “muscular”. She seemingly joked that she was better than her. After the said clip started making the rounds, Mrunal faced netizens’ wrath. She reportedly said that she was 19 years old at the time and said many silly things. Mrunal clarified that she didn’t always understand the weight of her voice or how much words could hurt. The Sita Ramam star apologised and stated that her intent was never to body-shame anyone. She wished that she had chosen her words differently, adding that with time she has grown to appreciate that beauty comes in every form, and that’s something she truly values now.
