Chinmayi Sripada Calls Out Mother For Rubbing Chilli Powder On Her Son’s Face, Calls It ‘Toxic Parenting’
You know, I used to see a lot of parents hitting their children and publicly humiliating them during the open house session. Well, I know that these parents want their kids to achieve something great in their lives but abusing them is totally wrong. However, no one actually talks about it but Chinmayi Sripada recently called out a video of a mother punishing her son by rubbing chilli powder on his face and called it an example of ‘toxic parenting’. She has a point!

Recently, a video surfaced online in which a mother tied her teenage son to a concrete pole and rubbed chilli powder on his face as punishment because he is addicted to ganja. In the video, we can see that the woman is throwing chilli powder in her son’s eyes while he is screaming and pleading with her to stop. A lot of people supported the mother and described the gruesome act as ‘unique’. After that, singer Chinmayi Sripada criticised the mother on Twitter and called it an example of toxic parenting. “Example of toxic parenting being lauded & called unique. She probably damaged the teenager’s eyes for good. Deaddiction needs to be done by professionals. Some people should have NEVER become parents. Not to mention the other woman who comes to help the abuse. Send them to jail (sic),” the tweet read.

In other tweets, she mentioned how parents abusing their children is being normalised in our society.
This is a society that says "parents premathone kodthaaru kadha" parents hit/abuse/throw chilli powder, belt their kids, chappal their kids with love. No wonder kids grow up with such violence.
And when such children want to cut off from their abusive parents – nothing wrong.

Now – though I won't see my replies, please have a look at HOW MANY boomers and young-cles defend the abuse saying this is the only way to do it. You'll see why violent abuse by parents on children is supported by our community and society.
It would be a good case study.

A lot of users tried to justify the action of the mother saying that she just wanted her son to quit his ganja addiction. However, abusing kids is not an option and it can negatively impact their lives.
