Author Of ‘How To Murder Your Husband’ Took Her Own Advice And Murdered Her Husband

I write short stories that usually fall on the darker side. And while I would claim that most of my stories are an amalgamation of most of my messed up thoughts, I would like to clarify that I don’t think I would act on any of them. However, someone beat me to fulfilling their dark fantasies as the author of the essay How To Murder Your Husband actually went ahead and well… murdered her husband! Well, at least she has been accused of it and is being tried for it.

Nancy Crampton-Brophy, the writer who wrote the essay How To Murder Your Husband seems to have decided to stop dreaming and start doing. The 71-year-old Oregon woman is currently accused and is being tried for the murder of her husband, Daniel Brophy. Nancy allegedly killed him in June 2018 so that she could get more than $1.5 million in life insurance by shooting him.

Her husband was found dead in a kitchen of Oregon Culinary Institute, Portland on June 2, 2018, by a co-worker. There were gunshots on his back and chest. The investigators found out that Nancy was in Portland at the time of the murder but lied that she was at home the entire time. She was arrested in September 2018 and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

While the news made headlines two years ago, the trial is happening now. The trial has been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic ad sources say that Nancy’s lawyers have tried to milk that pandemic as an excuse so that she can get out of the consequences of her crime. However, the trial is now underway which will finally clarify what actually happened and give closure to Daniel Brophy’s family. Nancy Crampton-Brophy has been charged with unlawful use of firearms and murder.

Nancy Crampton-Brophy has written novels such as The Wrong Lover and The Wrong Husband. In 2011 she wrote the essay ow To Murder Your Husband for the See Jane Publish blog. The very creepy text talks about all the ways and possible motives there are to murder one’s spouse. Well, safe to assume she just might have taken her own advice!
