Babil Khan Credits His Lineage For Landing A Role In His Debut Film ‘Qala’, Accepts Privilege With Humility

Nepotism in Bollywood has been a topic of discussion for some time now that has also led to controversies. Ever since this concept in Bollywood has surfaced, the audience has begun asking a lot of valid questions about the struggles outsiders have to face to make their way into the film industry. Amid this discussion, another star kid is gearing up to make his big acting debut. I am talking about Babil Khan, the late Irrfan Khan’s son who is set to star in his first Bollywood project which is titled Qala. Recently, Babil has voiced his opinions on nepotism and how it does exist in the Hindi film industry.

Babil Khan on Nepotism

Babil, in his recent interview with GQ, has admitted, “Nepotism is real,” and he credits “his lineage” to some extent to landing a role in Qala. He also went on to say that he has chosen to accept his privilege with “humility” and is grateful for the opportunities he is getting that others easily will not. On a side note, I do agree with Babil’s opinions. Being born privileged is not the kid’s fault but how they make the most of their opportunities is something to watch out for.
