The entertainment news lately has been filled with news of one of Hollywood’s nicest guys ever – Keanu Reeves. His name is doing the rounds for quite a while as he plays one of the lead roles in the upcoming movie The Matrix Resurrections, alongside the Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas. But did you know that this is not the first time Keanu Reeves has interacted with a Bollywood actress? The Hollywood actor’s association goes back to the year 1999 when he presented Preity Zinta with her debut award for the film ‘Soldier’. Yes, it was Keanu Reeves in the kurta pyjama.

Back in 1999 at the Zee Cine Awards, Preity Zinta won the award for the ‘Best Female Debut’ for the film Soldier and the award at the time was presented to her by Keanu Reeves who was clad in a beige kurta pyjama.

Keanu Reeves, back in the day, was a bass guitarist for the now obsolete band Dogstar, who had performed with his bandmates Robert Mailhouse and Bret Domrose for the Zee Cine Awards in 1999. They were then called on the stage to present the award to Bollywood actress Preity Zinta.

The video from the award show is doing the rounds on the internet all over again. In fact, as per News 18, Preity Zinta had also shared the throwback video of her accepting the award from Hollywood’s nicest guy to celebrate 23 years in the film industry. 

It was such a shocker when I saw the video. Like most people, I didn’t even recognize that it was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars that presented the award to the Veer-Zaara actress.
