Don’t we love it when actresses take the centre stage in films, as they experiment with characters that allow them to be more than the hero’s love interest? And for the longest time, I have been dying to see a fierce female cop in mainstream Hindi cinema. Not that we’ve not had one, but this new member in the cop universe has me excited.
In today’s tazaa khabar, actress Shilpa Shetty has dropped a surprise bomb for her fans and we’re so glad she did. Unravelling some details about her upcoming project, Shilpa Shetty shared that she’s all set to join Rohit Shetty’s brand new cop universe, alongside Sidharth Malhotra in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force. Yes, you read that right.

In the poster shared on her official Instagram handle, we spotted Shilpa Shetty in a black police uniform, wearing black sunglasses and holding a gun, against a background full of burning cars. I mean, this brand new avatar on Shilpa looks great and we’re so glad she said yes to the role. Moreover, the Dhadkan actress captioned her post– “Ready to set the OTT platform on fire for the first time. Superrr Thrilled to join The Action King Rohit Shetty in his Cop Universe!” And interestingly enough, Shilpa is the first female police inspector in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe and we’re thrilled to watch her rock in her debut OTT project.
