Speaking to India Today in connection with the case, the chief of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Priyanka Kanugo blamed Delhi government for the incident while saying that if the acid was procured from within the state then the government is at fault as Supreme Court has banned the sale and it’s the government’s responsibility to ensure that acid sale ban is implemented in the state.

https://t.co/zPpQXMJ5OY

Well, perhaps taking action to ban the sale of acid or at least restrict it would be a better idea than spending your time tweeting about the crime, Sir. It’s shocking how entitled men use acid attacks to control and shut women up. Despite the rising cases of acid attacks on women being reported in the country, not much is being done to curb the crime. FYI, as per Union Home Ministry, a total of 386 cases of acid attacks on women have been reported in India between 2018 and 2022.
