Step Aside, Stilettos: Akasa Air’s Cabin Crew Is Now Rocking Comfy Sneakers Instead!

Akasa Air has recently made waves in the aviation industry by breaking the norm of formal attire for cabin crew members. Unlike other airlines that require their staff to wear heels, Akasa Air has made comfort and ease a top priority by providing sneakers instead. A LinkedIn user, impressed by the airline’s innovative move, shared a photo of a cabin crew member in what she called “comfortable attire”. The sneakers, which are perfect for long flights, allow crew members to move around the cabin with ease, without sacrificing style. If you’re looking for a low-cost carrier that values your comfort, Akasa Air is the way to go.

Diksha Mishra, a resident of Bengaluru, recently took to LinkedIn to share her excitement after flying with Akasa Air. Posting a photo of a cabin crew member in their new uniform, Mishra praised the airline for prioritizing the comfort of their staff. Gone are the days of traditional killer heels, as the airline has opted for more comfortable footwear. Mishra was delighted to see the airline breaking away from the norm and congratulated them on their successful operations in the aviation industry.

Akasa Air took a bold step towards innovation by introducing a new uniform for its staff in July 2022. The new uniform reflects the airline’s friendly and cheerful demeanour while also prioritizing comfort and aesthetics. To cater to the active lifestyle of the crew members, the uniform features lightweight sneakers by Vanilla Moon, which have a sole made of repurposed rubber instead of plastic. In line with the airline’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the crew outfits are made of recycled polyester fabric manufactured from pet bottle plastic recovered from marine waste.

We are so glad to see this change finally coming to the aviation industry after the much-needed break from the pencil-line skirts and heels.
