On International Women’s Day, Praises Are Pouring In For Ukrainian Women For Exemplary Contribution In The War Against Russia
On International Women’s Day, we saw the world celebrating and appreciating the achievements of women. Women were getting beautiful bouquets, expensive gifts, sweet treats for always working hard and inspiring others to do so but we should not forget about all the women of Ukraine who rightfully deserve our respect for showing courage in this tough situation. Recently, many people praised Ukrainian women for fighting the war against Russia on the occasion of International Women’s Day. They are the true epitome of Nari Shakti, for sure!

Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine War, we witnessed many women coming forward to participate in the war to protect their nation from Russian invasion. As we know, Women’s Day is all about appreciating the progress made by women towards gender equality and women empowerment over the years, the Ukrainian women voluntarily participating in the war as soldiers, volunteers and rescuers are a true example of it. On March 8, many people lauded these women for their exemplary contribution including Member of Parliament Kira Rudik, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and others.
Ukrainian MP Kira Rudik shared a video in which she talked about how children give their mothers cards, flowers to say how special they are on Women’s day but this year they are in refugee camps or very far away from their mothers who are on the battlefield. She also congratulated all incredible Ukrainian women for standing up and fighting for their country. “So it is past midnight in #Kyiv – and International #Women Day is on! This year se are holding flowers and guns: we have a priviledge to fight for our country along with men. Ukrainian women are incredible. Because of them – we will win! (emoji),” she tweeted.
