Having said that, Liz Truss became the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom by beating rival and former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak by over 20, 000 votes on Monday. For the unversed, she is the third woman ever to become the Prime Minister of the UK. On September 5, Lizz Truss was named as the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. FYI, she defeated former chancellor of the exchequer, Indian-origin Rishi Sunak. In her winning speech, she promised to deliver a great victory for the Conservative Party in the year 2024.
