Nine Men Arrested For Stripping And Assaulting A Tribal Woman In Karnataka
We read about crimes against women almost every day and it is sickening to know that each crime gets more brutal in nature every passing day. It is even surprising how the perpetrators have so much hate against the victim and the harm they want to inflict on them just to let out their anger is just insane. It always shocks me how these people even think of such brutal ways to harm women. One such shocking incident has taken place in Karnataka which is nothing but hair-raising. Allegedly, a tribal woman has been stripped and assaulted by nine people.

According to a report by NDTV, this brutal incident took place in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district on April 19, 2022. Several people witnessed this incident at Guripalla village in Belthangady taluk. The complainant is a 35-year-old woman who has alleged that nine people tore her clothes and stripped her half-naked. She also has said that a video was made when all this was happening. The woman went on to say that her elder sister and her mother were also assaulted.

The incident took place when the revenue department officials came to the village to measure the land on which the victim and her elder sister were living. It was the government’s land they were living on. Those nine people did not want the officials to do their work and purposely created a commotion so that they would stop their work midway and leave. Later, this group of nine people assaulted the woman. The case is currently being investigated by the Belthangady police. Those nine men have been identified as Sandeep, Santhosh, Gulabi, Suguna, Kusuma, Lokayya, Anil, Lalitha and Chenna Keshava.
