Man Arrested For Blackmailing Ex-Girlfriend With Intimate Pics And Forcing Her To Forfeit Profit Share In Company
We read and hear news of crimes against women every day which shock us and make us question our faith in humanity. I came across one such shocking incident that made me wonder what heights can men go to defame their female partners and ruin their lives. In Mumbai, a 20-year-old man allegedly used his ex-girlfriend’s intimate photos to blackmail her into giving up her 30 per cent profit margin from her business.
Man Blackmails His Former Partner With Her Intimate Pictures
According to a report by Indian Express, a man used his former girlfriend’s intimate pictures to blackmail her into forcibly signing an agreement to surrender her 30 per cent profit share from her own business. He had obtained the photos when they were in a relationship. The man has been arrested by Jogeshwari police and remanded into custody until April 22. 2022.
The complainant is a 23-year-old woman who is a partner in a pathology lab. She told the police that she had started the lab in February 2021 with two other men, one of which was the accused man’s brother. As per the agreement, the woman has invested Rs 1.50 lakh and was expected to make 30 per cent returns on the same. It is also reported that she met the accused at the lab.

She also said that her then-partner, the accused, had taken photos of her inside the lab when they were still together. He also broke up with her after she agreed to get married to him. In order to get ownership of her 30 per cent profits, the accused sent her private photos to her brother and also threatened to use other means to defame her if she does not forfeit her share. A complaint has been filed under sections 384, 420, 509, 501 and 34 of the IPC and 67 A of the IT Act.
