In MP, A Woman Googled How To Murder And Then Killed Her Husband With Her Lover

Google has become the go-to place for everyone for any and everything. Whether it is to learn how to make a soup or how to make a bomb – Google has all the tips, tricks, and answers. And while some take the help of Google to help them in their studies, others use Google to for not so nice reasons. Like murder . And when combined with the power of passion, there is no stopping a mind gone rogue.

Recently, Tabassum, a woman in Madhya Pradesh, killed her husband with the help of her lover after she googled how to murder and ways to dispose of the body. The incident took place in the Khedipur area when the woman informed the police of her husband’s demise and pretended to not know how it happened. It’s a little silly to think that the police wouldn’t do a basic search history check and that they would let a search term just go but we guess this was her first time committing murder.

The police started their investigation shortly after that and found out that the husband, Aamir used to work in Maharashtra. And at the time the couple was facing some financial difficulties, so Tabassum relied on Irfan, another man that used to help them out. Soon the two got close and fell in love.

Unaware of this, when Aamir moved back due to the Covid-19 lockdown, Tabassum and Irfan found it really difficult to spend time with each other and meet. So, they decided to remove Aamir from their way by planning his murder and making Google an accomplice.

Investigation showed that Aamir was asthmatic and had his regular medication which his wife replaced with a different kind of medication. This caused him to lose consciousness and both of them – Tabassum and Irfan – took advantage of the situation and murdered him.

As per the reports, the two of them tied Aamir’s hands and legs with a scarf, after which Irfan repeatedly hit Aamir with a hammer till he lost his life. Tabassum then went to the police, informing them about the death of her husband and ensuring that she misled them.

Reaching the crime scene, they first suspected it to be a case of robbery. But with the help of all the present evidence, they suspected Tabassum as well. To know if their hunch was right, the police took the help of the cyber cell and found a bunch of calls between Tabassum and Irfan. This evidence further strengthened their hunch and they pulled out her Google search history. Upon looking, they discovered that Tabassum had googled: ways to murder a person, ways to tie hands and feet, and how to dispose of a body.

When the accused wife was interrogated, she confessed to committing the crime and the police were even able to seize the evidence that would tie them to the murder – including the murder weapon, blood-stained clothes, cloth that was used to tie Aamir, and mobile phone.

The murder of Aamir had taken place on 18th June and within 24 hrs the police had solved the case and even arrested the two accused. Both of them were tried in front of the court, and having found them guilty, they both were sent to jail.

Access to the internet and unlimited knowledge is a powerful resource. How, when, and where to use it is a big responsibility that needs to be understood and acknowledged. Whether the internet and google are a boon or curse, I’m not sure. But what I am sure of is that there have to be certain restrictions that need to be laid down on this resource that can monitor the way it’s being used.
