Afghan Women Are Protesting Against Taliban’s Ban On Female Employment, Claim Reports. The Atrocities Are Getting Out Of Hand!

With every passing day, the situation in Afghanistan is worsening and that is especially true for the women there. Afghan women are constantly being stripped of their human rights and are under scrutiny. And this all started after the Taliban took control of the country in August last year. And amidst the brutal restrictions set on their basic rights, Afghan women are not giving up and fighting for their rights by staging protests. Just recently a group of women came together in Kabul to protest and express their concerns about the continued effective ban on female students over grade 6 and on female employees.

Due to the atrocities of the Taliban and lack of employment, Afghan women are constantly suffering. And as if this was not enough, young girls in the country are forced to have a limited education. This constant effective ban on basic rights has led women to come out and stage a protest in Kabul.

During the protest in Kabul, women called out the Taliban and asked them to work for women and allow girls above grade six to get an education. As a sign of protest, Afghan women held up their educational documents and demanded the government give them jobs and education.

As per reports, one of the protestors named Shokorya said, “The document that we have in our hands is useless because all of us are at home and do not have jobs.” The Afghan women in their protest in Kabul called on the Taliban to inform them that the ban on their employment has added to the poverty in Afghanistan.

In fact, Marghalare, one of the former employees of the Ministry of Interior also said that they are calling on the United Nations and the international community. They are doing this so that they can divert the world’s attention to the concerning situation in Afghanistan and save Afghan women from these violations of their basic human rights at the hands of the Taliban.

Even after all the protests and Afghan fighting the Taliban to the best of their capabilities, serious human rights violations continue unabated. I really hope that the country and its people get all the support that they require to get out of Taliban rule. I hope this nightmare ends soon for them.
