Viral Video Shows Taliban Guard Hitting Female Student Protesters. This Is Inhumane!
Through social media, we come across some very disturbing visuals that are happening in other parts of the world. And, thanks to the growing digitalisation, many injustices have got the right medium to come to light, otherwise, I believe that we would not have known what really was happening with the female students in Afghanistan. After the Taliban rule, the world is aware of the kind of oppression women in Afghanistan are going through. Now, the video that is going viral from the country is of women students protesting outside the college gate for not being allowed entry, the reason being that they were not dressed as per the Taliban’s rules. But there’s a lot more in the video that world leaders should also take note of.
In the viral video, many female students can be seen banging on the college’s main gate. The video is from Badakhshan University when female students were barred from entering the campus just because they were not in their burqas. In the video, a lot of angry female students are trying to get into the college, when a Taliban guard comes out of nowhere and starts thrashing and whipping them. It is clearly visible that the guard had no respect for women and consideration towards them. There was also a clip where when a female student fell into an argument with the guard, he whipped her.

This is enough to show how women are being treated in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. The aggressive behavior of the guard towards the women was cruel and inhumane.
