Yes, in an interview with The Indian Express, Yami spoke about her struggles of finding a designer outfit for events or promotions, as she opened up about the cruel ‘criteria.’ Sharing a personal experience, Yami explained how some high-end designers are never open to give out their outfits because you’re simply not ‘so and so.’ Taking about the problems within the fashion industry and the ‘entire system,’ Yami spoke about an incident when a designer refused to rent her a lehenga and said– ‘No, just doesn’t work with that designer.” She further expressed how that incident made her feel bad, and reminded herself, “You are doing great in whatever you’re doing, and never try to fit in someone’s attire.” That’s so true.
