It was a star-studded shaam for Bollywood sitaare at the Critics Choice Film Awards 2022. From Konkona Sen Sharma, Samantha Ruth Prabhu to Neha Dhupia, stars pulled out their best style game as they made a glimmering appearance on the red carpet. While the awards night was indeed a big one for celebrities, we absolutely loved some designer pairings these sitaare wore for the event. Samantha Ruth Prabhu
Thoda hatke from her fellow fraternity friends, Samantha loves to experiment at every possible event, probably which is why we love her wardrobe a little too extra. And continuing her streak of experiments, the Super Deluxe star opted for a stunning emerald green number to mark her attendance at the awards night. Styled by celebrity stylist Preetham Jukalker, Samantha’s stunning gown came from the shelves of designer label Gauri & Nainika. Wearing the designer duo’s signature motif, Samantha’s gown incorporated a satin bodice featuring a sequinned floral bunch on the right, consisting of an interesting drape on the back, which led to a long train of cloth. Keeping the look minimal, Samatha chose to take a step back from accessories as she opted for only a pair of diamond stud earrings. For footwear and hair, Samantha opted for a glossy black pair of open-toe platform heels and styled her locks into a messy low-braid. Honestly, we kinda liked it Samantha, plus the colour won some extra points.

Konkona Sen Sharma
Giving her line-up of sarees a brief break, actress Konkona Sen Sharma arrived in a crisp black pant suit, layered over an embroidered bustier. While Konkona is known for her monotone pairings and choice of solid colour palatte, we loved this neat and edgy look which was teamed with a black potli bag. Kepping her distance from accessories, Konkona defined her eyes with loads of kajal and styled her hair into a middle-parted ponytail. Stunning, right?

My most favourite celebrity when it comes to style, actress Neena Gupta indeed was the star of the evening. Opting for a white, co-ord set for the night, the Badhaai Ho actress’ ensemble featured a pair of white shorts, a long oversized white top, and a calf-length printed silk kimono, replete with multi-hued flowers. To accessorise the look further, Neena ji added a pair of black and white earrings and knee-high black boots. Though, we would have loved to see her in a shade brighter, nevertheless whatever she chooses to wear looks extremely gorgeous on her.

I think over the many events and public outings that we have spotted Neha Dhupia at, one thing which has always remained a common point in all her outfits is a mandatory mention of statement jacket or at times a kimono. The queen of layering, Neha Dhupia’s love for three-piece sets and oversized silhouettes, always makes me think how comfortable she must be feeling (kinda envious of her collection). Pulling out another bold number from the racks of designer Samant Chauhan’s lablel, Neha’s outfit for the special eve incorporated a long black kalidar, that she layered with a sheer grey and black jacket, featuring polka dots on the neckline, floral patchwork on the shoulders and front panel of the silhouette. She further accessorised the look with silver jhumkas and an oxidised chunky bangle set. And that braided bun sealed the look and how!

Shriya Pilgaonkar
Giving the traditional Indian print a modern-day cut, was actress Shriya Pilgaonkar’s outfit for the big night. Styled by celebrity stylist Asu, Shriya wore designer Suket Dhir’s silk brocade salmon-hued pant suit. She further accessorised the look with a mini-pearl, double string choker and a pair of studded nude heels. Amongst the men who came dressed up in their usual black tuxedos, actor Pratik Gandhi, had some fun with his blazer.
