Vivek Oberoi Wants Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor To Star In A ‘Saathiya’ Remake. Umm, No Thanks, We’re Good
The 2000s era saw some of the best romantic films made by Bollywood that can be categorised as classics. Saathiya was one such film that was released in 2002 and was a huge hit that garnered a lot of love from the audience. Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukerji’s chemistry was the talk of the town back then and rightly so because they suited each other so well! Quite recently, Vivek completed 20 years in the industry and we wish him many congratulations on this occasion! In his recent interview, the 45-year-old actor revealed who he would want to play the lead characters if Saathiya was remade and he opted for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

Vivek Oberoi On Saathiya Remake
In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, the Shootout at Lokhandwala actor said that he would like to see Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor cast as the lead characters if Saathiya’s remake was ever made. Now, that definitely looks like an interesting choice and I can also see why Vivek chose Alia and Ranbir. Alia has displayed her versatility as an actor throughout her career so far as she played all different kinds of characters. And Ranbir, too, has an unconventional choice when it comes to films.

But I do not think they would fit the roles of Aditya and Suhani primarily because I find them too bubbly to play these characters. Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukerji did an exceptional job at portraying the characters of Aditya and Suhani because there was a maturity in them that was reflected in the roles they played which I think will be lacking in Ali and Ranbir.

In other news, Alia and Ranbir’s wedding preparations have begun in full swing with the festivities taking place between April 13 and April 17.
