As women, we’re judged for everything we do. From the colour of our hair to the footwear we wear, everything is scrutinised by society. It’s like nothing our gender does is right. If you wear short clothes, you’re a slut and if you wear too many clothes, you’re a prude. If you voice your opinion and ask for your rights, you’re a feminazi and if you don’t do that, you’re old school and orthodox. We’re judged for just existing. And all this gets much worse when a woman puts herself out there on a social media platform. But TBH, trolls are vicious when it comes to celebrities. Recently Samatha Ruth Prabhu was trolled for wearing an outfit with a plunging neckline and the actress took to social media to hit back at the trolls.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, Samantha Ruth Prabhu slammed the trolls for judging her based on her choice of clothing. The actress pointed out that women are often judged based on ‘what they wear, their race, education, social standing, appearance, skin tone and more’. She stated that it is extremely easy to make ‘snap judgements’ about someone based on what they wear while adding that we should stop making such judgements based on hemlines and necklines now that we’re in 2022.

The actress urged trolls to focus on bettering themselves and turn their judgement and train it on evolution instead. “Turning that judgement inward and training it on one’s own is evolution! Projecting our deals on someone else never did anyone any good… lets gently rewrite the way we measure and understand a person,” said Samantha in her post.

With a satin bodice featuring sequinned flowers on the side and a drape on the back with a train of cloth in the back, the actress looked nothing less than a queen. She paired the look with minimal jewellery and a pair of glossy black open-toe platform heels. Samantha’s gown had a plunging neckline and netizens took to social media to troll the actress for wearing a revealing outfit. But The Family Man 2 actress was not one to sit back quietly.
