New Video Reveals Ranveer Singh Gatecrashed ‘Dholida’ Song Shooting, Danced With Gangubai Alia Bhatt!
I would not be wrong if I said Gangubai Kathiawadi was Bollywood’s most power-packed film so far with Alia Bhatt essaying the role of the titular character. It literally took my breath away, seeing Alia in that white saree, dark kohl-rimmed eyes, and a big red bindi on her forehead and delivering the speech for the rights of prostitutes. I am sure it must have not been an easy job portraying this character and BTS videos that have been shared are proof of the same. Recently, another video that was shared by the makers showed the making of the ‘Dholida’ song from the film. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh also surprised the cast and crew when this song was being shot and he can be seen dancing with Alia and the others.
Ranveer Singh Gatecrashed The Filming Of The ‘Dholida’ Song
The video begins with the crew setting up the set for the song and Alia is heard describing the whole process of shooting the song and how they went about it. Around halfway through the video, Ranveer Singh appears and is heard saying that this song is going to be a ‘blockbuster’. He and Alia are also seen dancing their hearts out and finally applauding the team towards the end.
In the video, Alia Bhatt is heard saying that Garba was a very new dance form for her. She also said that it was a song that she had to do this song as Gangubai and not Alia. The video also shares the practice sessions that Alia had to attend to perfect her moves and bring out those true expressions to the beat! Alia further went on to say that the shooting of the song was too much fun but at the same time, it was difficult.
