Priyanka Chopra Shares A Moving Message Amid The Russia Ukraine War, Appeals Global Leaders For Support
As the war between Ukraine and Russia intensifies, the lives of many innocent residents of the nation have become worst than ever. For the past few months, we saw many celebrities and popular figures in the political and entertainment realm, join hands to stand with Ukraine amid the crisis. And now adding to that list is actress Priyanka Chopra has showcased her solidarity with Ukraine amidst the trying times. Appealing to the world leaders, Priyanka dropped a video of herself on her official social media handles with a special message of support for the refugees.

Priyanka Chopra, who is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, charted down surprising statistics of the lost lives due to the war and the gruelling situation that many young children have been put through. Talking about these innocent beings, Priyanka said, “World leaders, we need you to answer the call from activists and advocates working to support the humanitarian and refugee crisis that we are watching every day in Eastern Europe.”

She also shared, that close to two million children have been moving away from their homes in the quest for a safer environment amidst the war, and how the situation has added up to being the largest displacement since world war 2. Moreover, she expressed her take on how these young minds will forever be carved by the trauma they have experienced during these months. The 1.5 minute-long clip also featured Priyanka seeking help from the viewers to be able to amplify the message across the globe and raise some important questions for the global leaders to answer, as she inquired– “When you meet to decide how much funding you will give to support humanitarian aid, will you stand up for refugees?”
She further captioned the post as–”We can’t just stand by and watch. it’s gone on too long!”
Priyanka Chopra has also been supporting Global Citizen’s ‘Stand Up For Ukraine’ campaign that initiates to collect funds and humanitarian aid for the people in need. Just like Priyanka Chopra, many other celebrities like David Beckham, Hugh Jackman, Elton John, and more have come forward to support the sufferers of Ukraine.

This indeed is a crisis the world must now take action against. According to the latest reports, 52 people including 5 children were killed during a rocket attack that took place on a train station in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk. And as the war intensifies, more than 7 million people have reportedly fled their homes in search of a safer shelter.
