Priyanka Chopra Shares Her Thoughts On Being A New Parent, Says She Will ‘Never Impose Her Desires’ On Her Child
Being a parent is no easy job and all those who have kids and are reading this will agree. I have seen my parents raise my siblings and I know how stressful it is to impart values, make them understand at their level and reason with kids. Not all but there are some parents who pressurise their children a lot and burden them with expectations that they have to fulfil no matter what. This is where it starts to go downhill. Reflecting on the same, actor Priyanka Chopra has shared her thoughts on being a new parent and what dos and don’ts is she going to practice while raising her daughter.

PeeCee had a conversation with Lilly Singh, who is currently promoting her new book Be a Triangle. She spoke about what thoughts go through her mind as she has embraced parenthood recently. The Barfi actor said that she will never impose her desires, fears and her own upbringing on her child. She also said that she has always believed ‘children come through you, not from you.’ She further added, “There is no belief like this is my child and I will shape everything. They come through you to find and build their own life. Recognising that really helped me, my parents were very non-judgemental in a certain way.”

I agree with what Priyanka has said. The pressure on kids is insurmountable when they know that they have to do something because their parents want them to do it. Giving a healthy breathing space to children is very important is what I believe.
