It's finally over. . .The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor Johnny Depp filed a defamation case against his ex-wife for tainting his image by calling him an abuser in an op-ed that she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018. The legal chaos that this case resulted in was very massive as well. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had been sparring publicly because of this case for a while now and it has turned into one of the most controversial trials of the year. This has also spawned movies, documentaries and TV series as well as countless jokes and memes in its wake.

Johnny Depp’s attorneys have declared that Amber Heard will be paying Johnny Depp $1 million to settle and bury the legal matter once and for all. He has also pledged to use this amount to donate to charities. It is a massive reduction from the initial $10 million that she was supposed to pay but Johnny Depp has decided to accept it and formally close the chapter on this defamation and for all.
UPDATE: A source familiar with the settlement tells me Heard has agreed to pay Depp $1 million. That's a fraction of the $10.35 million she would have to have paid had she lost the appeal @LawCrimeNetwork
