‘Jersey’ Actress Mrunal Thakur On How She Chooses Her Roles, Says She Wants The Audience To Relate To Her Character
It feels good to see a lot of actresses taking up varied roles and portraying their versatility. I love it all the more when an actress does an unconventional role and does a slam dunk job it! Mrunal Thakur is one such star who has been trying to widen the spectrum of her acting by picking up different roles. She has carved a niche for herself in the film industry with each role she has essayed being different from the next. Currently, she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Jersey alongside Shahid Kapoor. Recently, she has revealed how she chooses her roles.
Mrunal Thakur On The Relatibilty Of Her Characters
In an interview with The Indian Express, the Dhamaka actor revealed that she wants to be associated with good scripts and play characters that are substantial. She also added that ahead of the release of Jersey, she feels not butterflies but an ‘entire zoo’ inside her. Mrunal also said that these roles ‘rarely’ come to an actor.

Mrunal also shared an interesting thought about her character in her film. Her character in the film falls out with Shahid’s character and this, in turn, pushes them to achieve their ambitions. Elaborating on this, the 29-year-old said that it is sad that no one sees the profession of her character. She wants the audience to relate to her because there is always this one person who always makes sure that you do the best in life.

Jersey is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name. It is set to release on April 22, 2022. Wish her good luck with her film!
