While talking about this, the terms plagiarism and copyright most definitely find their way into the discussion. Well, the line between copying and taking inspiration is very thin and this raises a lot of debates about this issue and people have differing opinions about it as well. One such movie that has caught the attention of sharp-eyed Internet users is Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend of The Ten Rings. Movie watchers have noticed that a particular scene from Shang-Chi has been ‘blatantly copied’ from Bollywood’s Bajirao Mastani.
Debate On Shang-Chi and Bajirao Mastani
In a viral Reddit post that has been shared by one Internet user, it sees a comparison of a particular scene from Shang-Chi and Bajirao Mastani. In the scene from the Marvel film, Tony Leung’s character is unleashing the power of his ten rings and charging forward to destroy the enemies on a horse. Another clip from Bajirao Mastani that has been added shows Bajirao’s character swinging his swords in both hands and moving forward on a horse. Watch the clip below.

In the comment section of this post, a lot of people have pointed out that the makers of Shang-Chi have blatantly copied this scene from Bajirao Mastani but people will not have an issue with it because it is Hollywood that has copied from Bollywood. Another one went on to write that Hollywood took revenge for all the scenes we copied from them. One of them also wrote that the scenes look similar because there are times when filmmakers take inspiration from others while making their own projects. Check out their reactions below.
