‘House Of The Dragon’ Ep 3 Had Fans Obsessing Over Daemon Targaryen’s Sword, And It Has Badass Female Targaryen Warrior Connection
One of the best things that graced our screens in recent times has to be the Game of Thrones prequel series, House Of The Dragon. Ever since the first episode was out, fans couldn’t stop gushing and geeking out about all the nuances they could see. And now, with the show picking up and the third episode’s release, the fans can’t help but let their inner dork out and that is all thanks to the rogue Prince Daemon Targaryen and his sword. What am I talking about? *Spoiler Alert* Well, I’m talking about the time in episode 3 of House Of The Dragon when Daemon Targaryen shows off his sword which is none other than the Dark Sister.
The epsiode 3 of House Of The Dragon starts with a three years leap where on one hand King Viserys has married Alicent Hightower and has a son, Aegon, and on the other Corlys and Daemon Targaryen have launched an illegal war against the Crab Feeder. It is at this time, that the rogue prince pulls out his sword, the Dark Sister, and wins the fight.

Now, remeber the fans gushing around Daemon Targaryen when he first appeared on House Of The Dragon? Yep, that’s exactly what’s happening now that he has revealed that he is the owner of the Dark Sister. Fans have taken to Twitter to show their excitement about the sword and its owner:

Wondering what’s the fuss about the Dark Sister sword that Daemon Targaryen owns? Well, my geeky side is here to fill you up. So, it all started with Visenya Targaryen, the sister-wife of Aegon the Conqueror.
Visenya Targaryen who was a great warrior possessed a thin and light blade (because that was the chosen weapon for female warriors back then) that was made of Valyrian steel – the Dark Sister. After some sixty years after her death, the same sharp and strong sword was passed down to Daemon Targaryen.
