Fan Speculates Young Melisandre Could Feature In ‘House Of The Dragon’ And We Think Their Theory Makes Sense
One of the most misunderstood characters of Game of Thrones has to be Melisandre or better known as the Red Woman. For most, she is the worst villain to ever grace the screens – especially because she advises Stannis Baratheon to burn (or as she says sacrifice) his daughter to win a war and when she mocks Davos over the death of his son. For others, she is “the” woman that saved Jon Snow and also played a part in making him meet Daenerys Targaryen. And those who need a reminder, she is also a Red Priestess of the Lord of Light, who claims to possess magical abilities including the power of prophecy. Melisandre as a character was mysterious and intrigued fans of Game of Thrones. But now, with House Of The Dragon is out, fans are once again wondering whether she would make an appearance in the prequel series. Why? Well, they do have a good enough reason.
On August 22, Monday, House Of The Dragon dropped its first episode and to say that the fans are thrilled and well-satisfied with it would be an understatement. In fact, some fans have already started drawing parallels between the show and Game of Thrones. But there are also those, who have come up with theories and one of them about the Red Woman just makes sense.

For those unversed, House Of The Dragon is set 172 years ago and tells the Targaryen history. Following this timeline, a fan took to Twitter to point out that Melisandre in Game of Thrones was 200 years old and that means she would have been roughly around 28 years. This could also mean that she might make an appearance in the prequel series.

But if you have watched the first episode of House Of The Dragon then you’d know that there are talks going on about travelling to the free cities and the East. So, the chances of the Red Woman showing up in the prequel series are quite high.
