Tisca Chopra On Safety In Delhi Vs Mumbai

Murder Mubarak star Tisca Chopra graced the recent episode of The Male Feminist where she spoke about a range of things, from teenage life in Delhi to her journey in films and the stereotypes. Tisca Chopra spoke about women’s safety in Delhi and recalled the days when she travelled in public transport. While talking about the precautions, she said, “Delhi was very unsafe. I used to carry a jute bag so that if someone was sitting beside you on the bus, they wouldn’t get encouraged to rub themselves against you. And it was an everyday occurrence, it used to be strange on days when it did not happen. On the bus, I always carried a safety pin.”

Talking about the culture shock that she got after moving to Mumbai, Tisca Chopra said “Bombay was a haven. You can easily wear shorts at night, and I was quite surprised and happy to discover that. It was just fabulous  in terms of safety because people hardly cared about what you’re doing.”
