SS Rajamouli’s RRR,starring Ram Charan, NTR Jr., and Alia Bhatt, has turned into one of the biggest movies made by the Indian entertainment industry. It has left not just Indian audiences but even international ones spellbound and amazed along with winning some massive international awards. Team RRR (minus Alia) is currently in Los Angeles, California, having achieved nominations for two Golden Globes (Best Foreign Language film and Best Original Song). And now, they have made history by winning one! RRR has officially made the Golden Globe Awards 2023 extra special for India. RRR’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ bagged the best song win at the awards leaving everyone shocked and excited. It’s the first Asian song to win this honour!

This great and momentous win was announced by Wednesday star Jenna Ortega. Following the announcement, MM Keeravaani i.e. the music director for ‘Naatu Naatu’ went on stage to receive the award while the movie’s director SS Rajamouli, actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan cheered from the crowds. Their RRR co-star Alia Bhatt, who made her south Indian debut with this movie, sent her love and cheer through social media.

Alia Bhatt rushed to Instagram and posted a story. She re-shared the video of the historic win which was posted by the official handle of RRR. It seemed like she was genuinely overwhelmed and speechless about this huge achievement. She posted the video as she wrote “Naatu Naatu RRR” with a bunch of hearts to celebrate and send her love to the RRR team and her co-actors, for the massive achievement.

RRR has made over Rs 1,200 crore globally and the movie has also already won a parade of international honours including the Best Director for SS Rajamouli at the New York Film Critics Circle awards. The movie has also submitted itself for consideration in terms of various Oscar categories. After the level of wins that it has seen, RRR is expected to be nominated in at least one category at the Oscars too.
