Nikki Bella Says Split With John Cena Was “Traumatizing” And “Painful” At The Same Time
In recent times, a lot of celebs have openly come out and announced their split with their respective partners. While some of them have parted ways on a good note, the others not so much. But whatever might be the case, more often than not the split between two people is always painful. Just look at Nikki Bella and John Cena. The two had been dating for six years and engaged for almost a year, after which they broke off their relationship back in 2018. And since then, they have gone their separate ways. However, in a recent interview, Nikki Bella who was promoting their new series Biography: WWE Legends, recalled her break up with John Cena and revealed that it was painful and traumatizing.
Nikki Bella in an interview said that her decision to break her and John Cena’s relationship was not an easy one but the right one. She revealed that it was she who had initiated the split after being engaged to him for nearly a year.

Speaking about her painful breakup with John Cena, Nikki Bella said, “You almost wish it was bad because it’s so much easier to walk away… It’s so much harder to walk away when it’s loving.” The pro wrestler further admitted, “I think a lot of women get into this situation when it’s like, ‘I love this person, but I don’t know if it’s right for my life,’ and that’s a hard thing.”

She further added that there are times when we come across amazing people who are just meant to live a different life and this very thought made her realise that she needed to walk away from her relationship with John Cena. She concluded by saying, “And no one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard. Even though it’s painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right.”
And now, the wrestler is happily engaged to Artem Chigvintsev and has a son with him, Matteo.
