‘Goodbye’s ‘Jaikal Mahakal’ Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna Is A Soulful Track About Loss And Grief

South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna is making her Bollywood debut in this movie which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta. Speaking of the movie, the makers of the movie released the highly-anticipated track ‘Jaikal Mahakal’ which is a soulful anthem about loss and grief. We are playing it on loop, to be honest!

On Tuesday, the makers of Goodbye decided to bless our timelines by pre-releasing the first song of the movie titled ‘Jaikal Mahakal’. The soulful track, which is about loss and grief, is composed and sung by singer Amit Trivedi and Suhas Sawant, and the beautiful lyrics are penned by Swanand Kirkire. In the video, Amitabh, Bachchan can be seen immersing the ashes of his wife (played by Neena Gupta) in the presence of his family. The song also showcases how the family members are reminiscing the good old days spent with their loved one who is no longer with them. If you ask me, ‘Jaikal Mahakal’ feels like a melodious aarti because of the spiritual lyrics and tune, it literally touches your heart and soul. All and all, it totally deserves the title of ‘Anthem of the Year’, in our opinion.

Written and directed by Vikas Bahl, the story of Goodbye revolves around the Bhalla family and their journey of dealing with grief while being there for each other through ups and downs. The film is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Good Co.
