‘Euphoria’ Background Actress Ranielle Marie Reveals All About Her ‘Miserable’ Time Shooting For The Show

Ever since the beginning of this year, Euphoria has been trending as the new episodes of the second season of the show have started streaming. But TBH, Euphoria has been making headlines these days for all the BTS gossip that the cast has been revealing in the interviews. NGL, I didn’t even start watching this show until recently! Recently, a background actor of the show opened up about having to work 16-hour days and her ‘miserable’ experience on the set of the show. Ranielle Marie starred in a few episodes of Euphoria which stars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, and Angus Cloud in pivotal roles.

Rainelle Marie uploaded a video on TikTok to share all details of the time she spent the set shooting for Euphoria. Speaking about it, the background actor shared that she had a ‘miserable’ experience shooting the recent episode while calling the shooting of the previous season of the show a ‘horrible experience’ as quoted by Buzzfeed News. She added that the long hours of shooting made her feel ‘numb’. She further revealed that many background actors and extras refused to come back due to the rather hectic work schedule of over 16-hours a day. She shared that while the actors were paid for the extra hours by the makers, they were not told anything about having to shoot for longer.

Rainelle Marie stated that the background actors were barred from meeting the main cast of the show as fans as that could lead to them getting ‘fired’. Recalling an incident from the set of Euphoria, the actress shared that she was a part of a party scene in season 2 but it was cold and dusty in the place where they were shooting. She added that their phones were taken away in a bit to prevent spoilers and the actors weren’t fed properly as their food arrived late and it was cold.

One of the lead actors, Jacob Elordi also spoke about the long working hours on the set of Euphoria during an interview with Esquire Middle East. Apart from this, there have been rumours that Barbie Ferreria who plays the role of Kat in the series had a showdown with the writer-director of the show Sam Levinson. In fact, rumours suggest that the actress stormed off the set on at least two occasion during the shoot of season two of Euphoria leading to cuts in her storyline. But there has been no confirmation about the alleged argument between the actress and the director. Earlier, actress Sydney Sweeney had also spoken up about the unnecessary nudity in the series. Alexa Demie also spoke about her nude scenes and called it ‘tough’ in an interview with Vogue.
