There are many celebrities who have gone through the same kind of legal trouble which Ranveer Singh is going through currently. There have been numerous complaints against the actors for reportedly doing any obscene acts or promoting nudity, rather such complaints have always been a common occurrence in India. Recently, actor Ranveer Singh landed in legal trouble for doing a nude photoshoot. However, Ranveer is not the first Btown actor to face legal charges against obscenity, there are other actors from the industry who have been amidst such charges in the past. The list of actors includes Shilpa Shetty, Aamir Khan, Milind Soman, and Sushmita Sen too.
Ranveer Singh Nude Photo Shoot
The Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor had recently done a nude photo shoot with the famous Paper Magazine. In no time the pictures broke the internet, but the success of the shoot soon turned sour when a woman named Vedika Chaubey filed a complaint against Ranveer. As per a report, the complaint was registered in Mumbai’s Chembur and was accused of “hurting” the sentiments of a woman.

Shilpa Shetty
14 years ago in 2007, actress Shilpa Shetty was present at an event in New Delhi along with the Hollywood actor Richard Gere. During the event, Shilpa and Richard shared a kiss on stage which was not really liked by a member of the audience. The attendee went ahead and filed a complaint against the actress at the Alwar Police station, Rajasthan. On July 7, Wednesday, Shilpa filed a plea in the court to discharge her from the case, as per a report. The article also reported that the complainant specifically mentioned in the FIR that Shilpa Shetty did not protest the kiss by Richard Gere.
Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, And Others For AIB Roast
The famous comedy show AIB Roast was also caught up in the legal proceedings against obscenity, the makers and actors who were part of that particular event had to undergo legal troubles. The FIR against the makers and celebrities of the show was registered by Santosh Daundkar in 2015, under the charges that the show promoted “vulgarity”, “abusive language” and “pornography”. As per the news, celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, and others were involved in the controversy.

Miss Universe could also not escape the fate of going through legal action against obscenity. In 2007, in a TV interview, Sushmita Sen made a comment in which she said that no Indian is a virgin anymore. This one statement almost made her face some serious legal issues. An advocate S. Greesh Kumar filed a petition against the actress, however, after a thorough investigation of the case, the plea was later dismissed by the judicial magistrate, as per the report.
