Complaint Filed Against Ranveer Singh For “Hurting Sentiments Of Women” With Nude Photoshoot. But Our Sentiments Aren’t Hurt!
Ranveer Singh has always made headlines for his fashion choices but recently, the actor made the news for the lack of it. He took the internet and the country by storm with his nude pictures. While most of us are still drooling over his pictures, there’s a certain section of society that seems to be offended by it. Well, nothing new about it. It looks like our most beloved Baba has run into legal trouble due to his rather bold pictures. TBH, we’re not very surprised that this happened. This wouldn’t be the first time that a celebrity is in trouble for stripping down to his birthday suit for a photo shoot.

The current buzz is that a complaint has been filed against Ranveer Singh for “hurting sentiments of women”. As per a report by India Today, an NGO based in the east Mumbai suburbs has filed a complaint against the actor in Chembur police station for insulting the modesty of women and hurting their sentiments with his pictures. But our sentiments are not hurt, guys! Speak for yourself, not for all of us. The complaint further sought an FIR to be registered against Ranveer Singh but no FIR has been filed yet.
The complaint against Ranveer Singh states that while the country has fundamental rights to freedom of speech and expression, that does not mean that one can “roam around naked in society”. It further says that people in India worship actors and by doing “such acts actors like Ranveer Singh try to get cheap publicity”. We get where the NGO is coming from but TBH, we don’t think Ranveer Singh needs to bare it all for the camera to get publicity. He manages to get it even with his clothes on.

FYI, Ranveer Singh posed nude for Paper magazine and his shoot was a homage to Burt Reynold’s iconic photo shoot for the April 1972 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. Ever since the actor’s pictures were shared on social media, they went viral and triggered a meme-fest while drawing criticism from some and immense love from others. IMHO, there’s nothing indecent about Ranveer’s pictures. We’re the country where Kamasutra was born and also the place that has iconic monuments with erotic sculptures.
