Ankita Konwar Opens Up About Her Struggle With Anxiety And Days “Where Everything Isn’t Fine”

As a person who deals with mental health issues, one thing I can say from experience is that there are some good days and there are some bad days, but there are also days where nothing feels fine – these are the ones I call the worst days. Because on these days, you struggle to just get out of bed and brush your teeth. And on those days you get anxious about every single thing around you and sometimes even yourself. You’d think that people who have everything or have achieved great success or are extremely fit might not feel this way – but guess what, you’re mistaken. The best of us also feel down. In fact, recently Ankita Konwar opens up about dealing with anxiety and struggling with days where nothing feels fine.

On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, fitness enthusiast Ankita Konwar posted a long post on Instagram where she opened up about her struggles with anxiety and depression. She talks about how she has gotten much stronger but there are still days where she faces small episodes of dark patches.

Ankita Konwar talks about how she doesn’t let her dark days consume her anymore. She talks about how she lets herself cry when she feels like it and doesn’t hold on to her thoughts anymore. The 30-year-old, who is married to Milind Soman, also accepts the fact that the journey to reach here hasn’t been an easy one and that to be able to let your thoughts go takes a lot of practice, but she’s trying and is getting better at it.

In fact, in her Instagram post, Ankita Konwar mentioned a few things that actually helped her when she struggles with anxiety and depression. The few things that she mentioned were physical and mental exercise, journaling, cutting down on caffeine, reducing alcohol intake, engaging with friends and family, and avoiding substance abuse.

Ankita Konwar concludes the post by telling people to seek help and not let the stigma around it stop you. She wrote, “But to even get to the point of gathering the will and courage to fight requires help. Seek professional help when needed.”

Having read her post, I have to say I relate. Mental health is as important (if not more) as your physical health. If you’re really struggling with anything, please go and seek professional help. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
