Who is Ruja Ignatova?
Ruja Ignatova is a German citizen, and one of the most notorious on the FBI’s most-wanted list. She happens to be the only woman in the top 10 criminals on that list. She is known as the crypto queen who headed one of the biggest financial scams in history. Ruja was also convicted in Germany of fraud involving her father’s company. She was imprisoned for 14 months for this crime.

What scam that Ruja Ignatova commit?
As per reports, Ruja Ignatova started the cryptocurrency company, OneCoin, in 2014. She persuaded investors not just from the United States but worldwide to invest in her company. Reportedly, she delivered a speech two years ago where she was seen touting her company as a major rival to BitCoin and heard saying that people will soon forget the latter! Things started going downhill for her within a year and she very cleverly decided to slip out of the mess she created by flying out of Bulgaria.

Just when the US authorities issued an arrest warrant against her, she flew and has not been found yet. Her company OneCoin has been deemed one of the largest fraud companies in the world. Reports say that Ruja Ignatova claims to have studied at Oxford but there is no official record of it.
