Chinmayi Sripada is a professional singer who primarily sang in the South Indian film industry and is also a dubbing artist. During the #MeToo movement, she came out to accuse well-known lyricist Vairamuthu of sexual harassment. And continues to fight the case.

Chinmayi Sripada recently called out politician and actor Kamal Haasan for his hypocrisy. She slammed Kamal Haasan for raising his voice in support of the wrestlers but turning a blind towards the sexual harassment case she accused Vairamurthy of, for which the entire industry had boycotted her.

The singer is good friends with actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She also opened up about Samantha Ruth’s support to her during the #MeToo movement. In return, the singer has also voiced her opinion on the abuse that actresses go through online. She slammed one user who had used degrading terms for Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
