Men always take the liberty to tell women what to do and what not to do. Even in 2026, this moral police continues. A report has surfaced from Ludhiana that highlights a raid in a park carried out by a group of Nihang Singhs. During this, the group went around pulling up and warning women and influencers about their clothes, and even targeted couples. Read here to know more about it.
What Was The Incident?
As per The Indian Express report, a raid was carried out by the Nihang Singhs from Tarna Dal 96 Crori. The incident took place in a park in Ludhiana, and reportedly they also went live on Facebook. During the raid, the Nihang Singhs pulled up women wearing sleeveless clothes and social media creators making dance reels on camera. The Report suggests that the group not only targeted them, but also warned them of severe consequences. The Nihang Singhs also threatened to bring their ‘women fauj’ next time and beat people with sticks and shoes, as per the report.
The incident took place on July 26, and the Tarna Dal 96 crori leader also reacted to this raid. As per him, these women were not on the right path, and they needed counselling. He also called out women for wearing half-naked clothes and couples sitting together. He reiterated that they would not allow such things in Punjab.
Similar cases of moral policing by the Nihang Singh groups have also surfaced. A social media influencer, Ranjit Kaur, and her husband from Ludhiana also filed a complaint against a similar case when the Nihang Singh group led by Manpreet Singh Khalsa came to their house and threatened them over making social media reels.

It’s absolutely insane to see such things happening in today’s time. Well, it’s not unbelievable because patriarchy is deeply rooted in our society, and it reflects in these incidents, but it’s just unacceptable.
