Prez. Murmu, PM Modi Congratulate U19 Women’s Cricket Team For First Ever World Cup Win

It looks like the year 2023 will be a lucky one for India, for all the good news coming along our way. India has been shining in every field, whether it is the Golden Globes awards or the first ever u19 T-20 Women’s World Cup. Yes, the win of our under-19 cricket team is currently the biggest news that every Indian is celebrating. The country’s President, Droupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi have congratulated the team on achieving this great milestone. Both of them used their respective social media handles to pen down a heartfelt message for the achievers.

India played in the finals of the Under-19 World Cup against England. It was the first-ever under-19 Women’s World Cup and India’s name has already been written in golden letters as the first winner of this Cup. And, this is one of the biggest reasons why this win is so special for India. President Droupadi Murmu congratulated the team and expressed her pride in them. She also called the young women cricketers, an “Inspiration” for the country’s youth. President Droupadi Murmu also complimented the team for putting up their best performance on the field.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also took a moment to congratulate the Under-19 women’s team. This win was certainly a big one for our women cricketers and was an emotional one too. The under-19 team’s captain Shefali Verma could not hold back her tears during the victory speech. Even the team’s coach, Rahul Dravid proudly congratulated his team for putting in all the effort and hard work to earn this trophy.
