Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns!

Dharmendra Pradhan took to social media and shared a lengthy letter revealing that he had resigned. The letter, which was written in Hindi, addressed the youth and stated that he had been devoted to students, teachers and education for over 40 years. The letter discussed the irregularities in the NEET-UG exam held in May 2026 and how the investigation was conducted, after which the re-examination date was also announced. Pradhan wrote about the “satisfactory” results that were achieved in July after the re-examination. He added that even during this time, individuals sitting in responsible positions attempted to create hurdles and mislead many students, which deeply distressed his mind. The former education minister stated that after looking at the developments over the last 10 days his heart was “deeply saddened”. He revealed sending his resignation to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to ensure that anti-national forces do not take advantage of the situation at Jantar Mantar and across the country; that the nation’s unity remains intact; that no student’s future gets entangled in legal complexities; and that our children can invest their time in studying and focusing on their careers. He ended the letter by expressing that he will be dedicating himself in every possible way in the future to fulfil the aspirations of Mother India, the people of Odisha, and the youth of the country.
