Every day, there is disturbing news about cases against women. Just reading them fills us with rage and distress. Another shocking piece of news has now surfaced from Andhra Pradesh. The incident was reported after an Assam woman coming back home went missing. She was later found near the tracks in Andhra Pradesh. Details Of The Case
Going by the initial reports of the case, the woman had boarded the train at 12:15 am on Wednesday from Visakhapatnam station in Andhra Pradesh. The woman had visited the state with a dance troupe, and she was reportedly returning to her hometown to write an exam, as informed by the family. Soon after boarding the train, she made calls to her friends and family members. According to one of her family members, the woman complained about ‘unruly and inebriated men’ in her coach, which made her feel unsafe. She also shared a video of the same with her friend, after which around 2:30-3, they were unable to contact her. Her phone reportedly switched off.
When the family went to receive her at the station, they could not find her inside the coach, and only her luggage was left on her seat. The RPF also looked for the girl but could not find her. As per an Indian Express report, the woman’s body was found near the tracks in Tekkali in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, after 24 hours. The initial probe suggests that the woman died after falling from the train. The family is waiting for the postmortem reports and has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.
