Khushbu Sundar Miffed Over Air India Not Providing Wheelchair. Kya Ho Raha Hai Is Airline Ke Sath?

It looks like Air India ke bure din udd rahe hai. Sorry for the bad pun but it really looks like the airline is not doing enough to make sure their fliers have a good time with them. With not one but two back-to-back peeing incidents, now the airline has disappointed BJP leader Khushbu Sundar who took to Twitter to write about their poor service. She wrote that she was in need of a wheelchair as she suffered a ligament tear but was not provided one for half an hour by the airline at the Chennai airport. Even when they did, they had to ‘borrow’ a wheelchair from another airline to give it to her. This is bad!

Taking to her Twitter handle, actor-politician Khushbu Sundar slammed Air India for its poor service. She wrote in a strict-worded tweet how the airline did not even have a ‘basic’ wheelchair to provide to her. She also wrote that she had to wait for 30 minutes with braces as she was suffering from a ligament tear. Sundar also wrote how the staff had to borrow one wheelchair from another airline, and then she was taken inside to board the flight. Khusbhu also sassed them by saying that Air India can do better than this.

The official Twitter handle, thankfully, took notice of this tweet and issued an apology. They wrote that they are ‘extremely sorry’ that Khushbu had a bad experience with them, and also that they are looking into the matter at the Chennai airport.

It looks like only some great PR and exceptional customer service can save Air India from getting back into the good books of the people. A wheelchair is a basic amenity which is available with every airline and they surely do not have to “borrow” it from someone else. Last year, the airline was slammed as two male passengers peed on women sitting next to them on international flights. Hopefully, the consolidation of Air India and Vistara by Tata will ensure a better flying experience.
