Alia Bhatt Pens A Heartbreaking Note On Grandfather Narendranath Razdan’s Demise, Shares Throwback Video

We missed Alia Bhatt at the IIFA 2023 in Dubai as the actress had to stay back to spend time with her grandpa who was unwell. Earlier on June 1, Alia’s maternal grandfather Narendranath Razdan passed away. The actress took to Instagram to share a throwback video of her grandpa’s 92nd birthday to share the news of his demise and mourn his death.
Alia Bhatt shared a very sweet video from her grandfather Narendranath Razdan’s 92nd birthday celebration where Ranbir Kapoor can be seen removing the candles on the birthday cake as Alia asks his grandfather to share some words of wisdom. In the caption of the post, the actress shared that her grandpa, her hero passed away at the age of 93. Revealing that he played golf till he was 93 and worked, the actress shared that he also made the best omelette, told the best stories and even played with his great-granddaughter among other things. Sharing that her grandpa Narendranath Razdan loved his life, the actress said that her heart is full of sorrow as well as joy as her grandfather gave all of them joy. Expressing her gratitude to have him in her life, Alia Bhatt signed off.

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt had skipped the IIFA 2023 Awards where she won Best Actress for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actress had missed the event because her grandfather was unwell and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to a lung infection. As per media reports, he was moved to the ICU at the hospital after his condition got worse.
