The Taliban banning women’s higher education in Afghanistan caused a huge uproar all throughout the world. Even world leaders condemned this action and asked the Taliban authorities to reverse their decree and allow women to continue studying. By curbing their basic right to education, the Taliban cut off all hope for women who wanted to make their futures bright. Not just this, they are also beating up those who are opposing the educational ban. Recently, the Taliban brutally beat a professor who was opposing the ban on women’s education. They have also detained him in a place that is not known to his colleagues.

Abdul Haq Hammad, who is the director at the Ministry of Information and Culture said that Mashal was indulging in anti-establishment activities, and has been taken in for investigation.

Ismail Mashal who has been teaching for over 10 years now, tore his educational certificates on national television.
